Workshop: Wh`ānau Cyanotype with artist Claudia Jowitt

Join us for a relaxed, whānau-friendly cyanotype / printing workshop led by exhibiting artist Claudia Jowitt.

Inspired by her exhibition Uana / Carried by the Waves, this hands-on session invites tamariki and adults to play with light, water, and natural materials while learning the simple, magical process of cyanotype printing.

Cyanotype is a sunlight-based printing technique that produces striking blue images. With Claudia’s guidance, you’ll arrange flowers, leaves and other natural shapes—echoing the motifs that flow through Uana — and watch your prints develop before your eyes

.Open to all ages and experience levels, this workshop is a fun, creative moment for the whole whānau. Claudia will also share insights into her practice and the ideas behind Uana / Carried by the Waves, giving you the chance to learn directly from the artist while making your own take-home artwork.
